Craft Courses
The Land of Roots CIC was set up to look after a piece of land and to promote the use of sustainable skills and practices within the local community.
We run a wide range of craft courses from basketry and blacksmithing through to bowl turning.
Northern Bowl Gathering
Northern bowl gathering is the highlight of our handcraft mission. Every year during the last weekend in April we run a series of workshops and get some of the most talented makers in the land to share their skills.

Land of Roots is a community interest company set up to look after a piece of land just outside of Durham city. Alongside of this it’s aims are to promote resilience within the surrounding community by promoting crafts and running craft workshops.
